The impact of trauma can manifest itself in different forms in our lives. We can have adjustment issues, anxiety, depression and PTSD. Day to day stressors at work and discord in our families can lead to feelings of rejection, shame, feeling invisible and being voiceless. Issues in our society such as struggles with socio-economic status, gender, religious and racial oppression, domestic violence, lack of resources and knowledge, dealing with intergenerational trauma can make us more susceptible to mental health disorders. It all impacts our narrative, our self esteem, our self worth. Sometime ago we told ourselves a story that wasn't true and we keep blaming ourselves for it. Dare to explore and change it.
